Weeks 4, 5, and 6 in Texas!

WEEK 4 in Texas

Family, Friends, and all those I love...

This week has been an interesting one. I have loved working with the members and getting to know them. It is very difficult to talk to them and work with them because I don't speak very good Spanish but it will take time. I will just have to work hard and wait....

This week we have been teaching a person who has a lot of difficulties in life and a lot of guilt. This week we set a baptismal date for him and that is awesome because baptism is what will help him get rid of all of his guilt.

This last week we ate with a member family (they are so awesome!) After dinner he played us an original song that he made and it was awesome!!!

This week I also tried some hot sauce called "Satan's Blood" it was about a 1/4 teaspoon and it was really hot. Like really hot...

I also made chili. I'm surprised how well it turned out considering I seasoned it with Tobasco sauce. :)

It's been really hard here but their are so many people who need it.
As in all people.

I also went through my first car wash!

I have noticed how awesome the members of the church are here. They are so awesome and helpful. They are always willing no mater what.
They feed us and help us with so many things.

The spirit has led me to many people and we have helped so many!!! I love this work!!

Love you guys!!! You all had a huge influence on me!!!

I know My savior lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have any questions just ask!!!

WEEK 5 in Texas

Family and friends,

Thank you all for your support.

I have learned a lot being out here and I wouldn't have been able to do it without your help so thank you very much!!!

As the week has gone on I have had some cool experiences.

I have seen many cool miracles.

As I have been working this week we have not had much time for studies. We find ourselves doing a lot of service in the early hours of the day so we end up not being able to read the scriptures. This has been a huge testimony about the importance of reading scriptures on a daily basis, Because it invites the spirit that is so important in our lives.

This week I was able to ride my own bike for the first time I had lots of fun riding around to people's houses and helping them with various things and teaching lessons.

We have met many people that are very uninterested in our message.
Many will talk to us just to ask us questions that will make us stumble and say something incorrect but the spirit has been with me and it has helped me not be confounded before men.

This week we have been teaching a investigator. He currently has been living with his girlfriend so we decided that we needed to teach them the law of chastity. Then just recently they informed us that they will be getting married so that they can be following Gods laws. So I most likely will be able to attend a wedding!!!!

We also have been teaching a man who's father recently passed away. He wasn't really interested at first but now knowing that through gods plan he can live with his family forever he has been taking interest.

The amazing thing about this gospel is that it works!!!

Scriptures that you should reed:
Isaiah 41: 10

Feel free to email me at this email!!

Love you all!!!

WEEK 6 in Texas

Family And Friends,

As I have been on this mission I have seen many miracles and cool things happen.

Recently we went over to a members house. He told us of his conversion story and how his family was of a different faith and when he joined the church he was disowned. When we told him that we came over to see if he could come with us to some visits he said that he would love to because he has recently been praying for opportunities do do missionary work and that this was an answer to his prayers. During the lesson my companion had a prompting from the spirit to share a certain scripture. When he shared it the member told us a very sacred story about him and that scripture. We all ended up crying about our spiritual experiences and we had a great time.

This Sunday was fast Sunday because next week is conference. Fasting during missionary work is difficult because you work so much and you don't have the usual energy. So as I was working I got a bad headache and couldn't do anything. As I prayed that I would be able to work and fulfill my purpose. I immediately felt the pain leave me and I was able to continue working in the lords work I have a testimony that the lord supports his children when they do what he wants them to do.

I recently learned how to make Papoosas!!! It's a food from El Salvador and it's made with masa (corn dough) and meat and other good stuff and it tastes so good.!!! We actually were able to do a little bit of teaching while we made them.

This week as I was studying with my companion I have been thinking about being grateful for all the things we have even if we don't like it. The saying is "What do I have that I shouldn't be thankful for?"

This week we were in a parade. We got to walk in the parade and hand out flyers (for the or upcoming family history discovery day.) it was cool we evan saw one of our investigators in the crowd!

Are y'all exited for conference! I love conference. It is direct messages from God to us in our day!! Who knows what we could lean! I will have to read it in English later because I will most likely have to watch it in Spanish, and I don't speak/understand it yet so that will be fun.

I love you all and pray for you.

Este misión Es muy loco pero me lo encanta. Quiero darles me testimonio. Yo sé que El libro de Mormón es la palabra de dios y por medio de este libro podemos saber más de dios y su evangelio! Muchas Gracias Nos vemos!

Isaiah 41: 10

Te quiero!
